Mercedes-Benz and the Dutch Fashion Foundation have started a long term collaboration where the allure, quality and pioneering values of both brands meet. Mercedes-Benz will support the Dutch Fashion Foundation in her mission to create awareness and international appreciation for the Dutch fashion industry. In collaborating with the Dutch Fashion Foundation Mercedes-Benz continues its involvement in stimulating and inspiring fashion events. Since 1996 the renowned German car brand has been a sponsor of international fashion shows and title sponsor of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York, Los Angelos and Berlin.

Dutch Fashion Foundation
The Dutch Fashion Foundation (DFF) positions Dutch fashion on a national and international level by the creation of innovative, high quality services through which the cultural and economic values of fashion can meet and strengthen each other. Based in Amsterdam, DFF manages a network of the most talented Dutch fashion designers and is a key figure in the creative network of photographers, graphic designers and fashion artists.

World Fashion Centre
The World Fashion Centre (WFC) is an unique and dynamic meeting place that unites the expertise of industry professionals and related businesses, products and services by fostering a forward thinking, sustainable and supportive environment. The World Fashion Centre supports the Dutch Fashion Foundation by providing an office space where DFF can develop its activities. Together with the WFC the Dutch Fashion Foundation has developed Th+ FLOOR on the 13th floor of Tower 1 of the WFC, which is a platform where creativity and business can be brought together.

Dior
In 1947 Christian Dior designed his first couture collection. It was his opinion that a woman is not complete without a perfume and therefore he launched the scent Miss Dior together with his first collection. Since that moment fashion and cosmetics are inextricably bound to each other at Dior. Dior strengthens this connection by supporting talented fashion designers by collaborating with the Dutch Fashion Foundation, where make-up contributes extensively to the fashion feel and style of all wearing the best of Dutch fashion.

Lectra
Lectra offers the winner of the Mercedes-Benz Dutch Fashion Awards 2008 a package and training-course of the Modaris ExpertPro and Kaledo software. Bijenkorf
In collaborating with De Bijenkorf the Dutch Fashion Foundation finds a new partner. After announcing the winner of the Mercedes-Benz Dutch Fashion Awards on November 7th 2008, the most luxurious department store of the Netherlands takes a part of the winning collection up in its assortment. Dutch design and De Bijenkorf are unmistakably connected: of old De Bijenkorf is a ‘design minded’ company. Many artists, designers and illustrators have in the past created exceptional projects for De Bijenkorf.

Fair Wear Foundation
The Fair Wear Foundation offers all the nominated designers a course to get acquainted with the fair wear principles and put in contact with production facilities that comply with the criteria of Fair Wear.
Fair Wear Foundation (FWF) strives to improve labour conditions in the garment production in low wage countries. FWF was founded in 1999 in the Netherlands and started to work with Dutch fashion, workwear and promotional textile companies to check, and help improve, bad labour conditions – like child labour – in their supply chain.

Club Brillant
Club BRILLANT is a collaboration between fashion conscious opticians that concept-wise can best be compared with the Alliance Gastronomique. The stores pertaining to this club are each leading within their branch, have a strong identity and profile and are active in keeping it that way. Together they join forces to promote glasses and sunglasses as real fashion accessories and they invest in the most groundbreaking labels and collections.

The Dutch Fashion Foundation actively collaborates with Hilton Amsterdam in hosting the international guests who come to our capital to discover the best of Dutch fashion design. They stay in an ambiance that understands the aesthetics that our international media is accustomed to. Famous for John Lennon and Yoko Ono's 1969 Bed-in for Peace, the canal side Hilton Amsterdam is a short walk from Amsterdam attractions like the Van Gogh Museum, Concertgebouw and the renowned Rijksmuseum. The Dutch Fashion Foundation is proud to collaborate with Hilton Amsterdam for its affinity with design and the passionate quest for perfection among her personnel.

KLM
This year KLM Italy has started a cooperation with the Dutch Fashion Foundation to built the bridge to make Dutch fashion visible on one of the most important fashion stage – Milan - during the Milan Fashion week on September 2008. Through this valuable collaboration KLM, following its young and innovative spirit, is willing to invest and encourage on creativity and new talents: this is the aim of the Mercedes-Benz Dutch Fashion Award 2008 that KLM Italy is happy to support this year.

Modint
Modint is the Dutch trade association for fashion, interior and textiles and aims to strengthen the competitive power of the members and sectors they represent. The collaboration between Modint and the Dutch Fashion Foundation plays a key role in bridging the gap between the Dutch fashion industry and fashion creativity. Modint’s knowledge is essential in the realisation of the ambitions designers have in developing their label commercially. Vice versa, Modint accesses DFF’s creativity and fashion knowledge in service of their members.

Amsterdam Partners

Soopl
The Dutch company Soopl developed a new highly improved Fashion Trolley and supports the Dutch Fashion Foundation at events such as the Mercedes-Benz Dutch Fashion Awards, the Prelude fashion salons and the Dutch Touch campaigns. With these trolleys DFF and the designers can easily move it along bumpy pavements, off tricky curbs and through doorways. It is sturdy and easy to fold in and out. And on top of that, it looks fashionable.
